LJ5
During this module I learned a bit more about web 2.0 applications and how they enhance the internet users experience. I didn't know that the editing of images for use on the internet was called optimization. I also didn't know what the .gif or .jpeg etc. at the end of a file referred to previously or what those formats actually meant to my internet experience.
I also learned a bit more about the nature of illegal downloading. It's unfortunate that so many people have gotten into so much legal trouble because of the confusion involved with this subject area. I'm hoping that more people will wise up and gravitate towards 2.0 applications such as Pandora for their listening needs. Not only is illegal downloading risky but it can also be very costly when you consider what could potentially happen to your computer should you download a malicious file.
I think I put adequate time into this module. The assignments with the 2.0 applications were very easy and pleasurable to use. I thought it was pretty neat that you could make the avatar on voki talk. That may be an app I will use on my final project.
